The Brett Kavanaugh hearings have finally come to a close at the end of last week, and the verdict is in. He was approved to be a Supreme Court Justice. This decision is historic, considering Kavanaugh will now be on the Supreme Court for years to come, which will certainly impact court cases.

There was also a lot of craziness going on throughout the week. Hurricane Michael became the next big hurricane to hit the U.S., and boy was he treacherous! The hurricane grew from a Tropical Storm to a Category 4 hurricane in almost two day. The Florida Panhandle got hit hard, with the storm weakening after making landfall. Also this week, an arrest has been made in a deadly limo crash that took the lives of 20 people, becoming one of the deadliest transportation accidents in the U.S. since 2009. And, impacting us journalists, more news has been developing on missing Saudi journalist Jamal Khasoggi, and things aren't looking so great.

At least our royals are having a good week! Okay, not OUR royals, but I have an obsession with them, what can I say? This week the Duchess of Cambridge made a joint public appearance with her husband, and she had a solo outing the following night. Not to mention, this morning was Princess Eugenie's wedding, and it did not disappoint! Prince George and Princess Charlotte, along with some of their cousins, were members of the bridal party, and they definitely didn't disappoint!

"A lot of possibilities about the generic ballot/polling in general and Kav: (1) It helped Ds fullstop (2) It helped Rs at first, but after Kav was confirmed Rs went back to sleep and Ds were energized (3) The increased D enthusiasm is concentrated in blue enclaves 1/"
